Autumn Revealed.

Brrr!!! I am hoping to channel this cold weather and these vivid colors into some artistic inspiration. The colors are so amazing that I have to get something out of them. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, autumnyou’ve been seeing a lot of lettering and a little coloring and painting. That will most likely change with Kathy R.’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge next month, but I’ll also be participating in a lettering challenge. 🙂

Have you ever had something settled in your mind and your spirit and it just flowed out of your mouth and made you wonder whose lips and voice just worked together? That happened to me in a meeting today and it was not a bad thing, just a very big thing and for the first time, it did not make me afraid if my vision is intimidating – just ready to make it come into fruition

Goodbye, February.

I am now the proud mother of a sixteen year old and a nineteen year old. And two tweens. They are growing up to be smart, caring people, even if we don’t agree all of the time and I am thankful for that. That they are growing up to be smart, caring people, not that they disagree with me. Their opinions are almost as strong as, well, mine. Ugh. I hate when that happens. I got a lot of things done in February, but now it is time to focus on the things to be done from March until the end of the year.  🙂 I have managed to follow through with the marker challenge. I will be doing a bit of painting, art journaling, lettering and less marker work (with the exception of building up my card stash).

Butterflies.

I colored a few butterflies last week. I tried to keep the number that I did over the past twenty days or so down because I could stencil, stamp and color them daily and I am trying to remain open to doing different.

B is for snow day.

Just when I thought everyone was off to school, we got a few inches of snow and ice and another day of hanging out at home, much to my daughter’s chagrin. As you can see, I used some of the time I had to work on my hand lettering. I am not as dusty as I thought, but I look forward to the practice I plan to get. 🙂
