When the going gets tough, the tough gets crafting.

This Summer has been a bit of a challenge this year because I had a few months of time where I had a pocket of time just about every day to get extra housework, reading, errands run, whatever and until September that time is gone, which means that I feel like my time is not going nearly as far as it usually does. I’ve been learning how to work with beads and findings and wire and all of those wonderful things so that I can slowly work my way toward making some of  my own statement jewelry. There is such a great variety of styles popular now, it’s really inspiring to me.  I saw a machine that threads beads Sunday and it looked interesting. I’ve even found some ways to incorporate some of my scrapping embellishment skills into the creation of pendants. Making it really helps me focus on things outside of myself. I like that.
