08.21.08/RIP Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs-Jones

Yesterday evening I was stunned to learn that U.S. Representative Stephanie Tubbs-Jones (D-OH) died after an aneurysm and subsequent brain hemorrhaging. She was the first black woman to represent Ohio in congress and the first to serve on the Ways and Means Committee. I really feel for her family and constituents. It seems like every day for the past couple of weeks or so, I’ve been reminded that tomorrow is not promised to anybody. I’ve got to work harder to live out the things I know.
