Two years ago this week…

I was exhausted and eating meals prepared by my mama. (Thank you Lord, that my mama is still here and she can cook!) Our family was graced by the presence of one Max. To celebrate this year, we had Red Velvet Cake, Max’s favorite and a birthday tradition. He thinks he owns the place on a daily basis so it’s interesting when things are actually centered around him. Our drive to get away from the heat and our trip to the India Festival more than make up for the fact that it’s hovering around 70 degrees and raining. He’s a sweet kid, though. He enjoys mommy’s hugs and I enjoy hugging him.
