Whew. What a weekend.

Friday evening, we got in the car and went out to the riverfront for the Rose Festival. We usually go late in the evening because none of the smaller kids get too antsy from doing the whole carnival thing for too long. I wore fuchsia eye shadow to support my sisters at the Sex and the City premiere parties all over the city. *moment of silence*

It was a beautiful day, which is rare for these parts. We listened to music, ate food, and watched the fireworks display. Nat, Little A and Max really really enjoyed the African Marimba music we came across in the International pavilion.

Everybody was a bit nonchalant about the rides, which is ironic because last year, Little A had a cast on her foot and was still all up on the carousel. LOL. Gotta love Little A. Today she told us she was “vivacious”. LOLOL. My husband said, “Who told you that?” I said, “Well, it’s true, whoever said it.”
