When I found out I was having little A and that she would be a girl,(who is not so little anymore, btw) I went on a cleaning, planting and painting spree. I planted daisies, azaleas and rhododendrons. I bricked off the flower bed. I painted the entire house in bright colors. Now, I’m dragging myself along just to get two rooms and halls done and a few vegetables planted. I am just as determined as I was back then, so I know I will reach my destination, thankful that I am not in as big a hurry as I used to be.

It’s going to be a long day, but in a good way.
There are some people to talk to and appointments to schedule and stuff to put away (the next to last phase of Spring Cleaning – the last phase being steam cleaning and painting stuff), but I see them as opportunities to move forward. The big phrase at my house in the two or three days before my mother’s arrival is going to be, “Don’t touch that!” I think I had a teacher who did that – piled the work on and would tell us kids, “Think of it as an advancement opportunity.” It was still work, and I think she was a little too happy to give it to us. LOLOL. Nevertheless, I feel a scrapbook opportunity coming on, to document the stuff we do this Spring and Summer.
