Yesterday was sunny and marvelous and the kids and I were recovering from some nasty flu junk so we were forced to spend a lot of time indoors. Of course today when we’re feeling hearty and adventurous, we are going to be splashing about. Oh well, life in the Northwest. The fiery orb in the sky is set to make another appearance this weekend, so we’ll be ready 🙂

I am a big fan of Esperanza Spalding, who is from the other side of the river in Portland, Oregon. I like her latest, Radio Music Society, but my favorite cut is Black Gold, which features Algebra Blessett (I also liked City of Roses, which is about Portland and Crowned and Kissed).
