November 30 : Hope.

30daysMy November blog posts are based on my 30 Days of Thankful journal. I got the idea for from Cathy Zielske’s blog. Working on it has really kept things positive and balanced in the face of what was an extremely busy (and at times emotional) month. It will be interesting to see the impact of this shift in perspective through the end of the year and beyond. I will do my best to make time to do this again.

November 29 : Hugs

pooh2I have always been a giver of hugs. A large part of that is because my mother is a huggy person and so are a lot of my family members. I like my hugs on a regular basis. My younger children like hugs but my older ones are too cool for that stuff. I still sneak up on them and give them hugs anyway. I figure what is the point of being a mother of teenagers/young adults if you can’t make them squirm with a hug from time to time? 🙂

November 28 : Hanging out.

timeI get a lot of things done around the house when I’m just hanging out. I have more time to be available to everybody. I wish I could do it more, but often there is so much to do and so little time.

November 27 : Cyber Monday.

BlkfridayThis year, I went out to a few stores while I ran errands and it really reminded me how thankful I am that I can order some of my Christmas shopping items via the internet. It is so hard for me to remember the days when I woke up before dawn and dragged my husband and sometimes child to the mall, strip mall and everywhere else in search of the hugely advertised  (yet often disappointing in real life) bargains.
