Spring has been really motivating me lately. I have been out walking and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, so that when Spring is officially here, I will be prepared. The thing about art, though, is that one has to sit still in order to turn those ideas and emotions into something spectacular and the weather has been far too beautiful for that. Donna Downey used joint compound, but I used super heavy gesso because I had some on hand and there was no telling when I would have made it to a hardware store. The fact that I personally feel that it is the stuff dreams are made of didn’t hurt, either. It is like frosting with no calories and who can beat that?
