Tuesday evening, a storm came through the town where my folks live and snapped huge, sturdy trees like they were toothpicks. It hit the firehouse and a lot of other structures around town and they just restored power today, which is Saturday. My father said that he saw the storm coming and he was scared. He’s not easily scared. At all. It’s truly mind boggling, to me, that the storm continued eastward and wreaked the havoc it did in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Since my thoughts are with those people who are cleaning up their memories and searching for their loved ones, I’ll be back with some beautiful shoes next week.
