It’s cookie time!

Yes, it’s that time of the year that I both welcome and dread – Girl Scout Cookie Time. I allowed myself one order of cookies and that’s it. Otherwise, they would have wound up around the house and in the car and everywhere anyway. Now that I’ve had mine, I can say I did that and move on.

Foods that I usually find myself weak to lose a lot of their appeal when I do that – I say ok I can have this limited quantity, so I’m not deprived. then I have it. Then it’s like why could I not get enough of these. Nat used to love samoas so I got him some, but he does not like them so much this year. That works for me because it means I don’t have to get any more under the guise of “Nat likes them”. Happy President’s Birthday Consolidation Day!

    I only ordered six boxes this year. I’m usually in the double digits but I’m paying closer attention to my junk food intake.

    Thankfully, my sister’s goddaughter is our only Girl Scout. Two boxes of Thin Mints was all I got. My mother on the other hand ordered $42 worth of cookies.

      They always find me. The little girls in the neighborhood always wind up in front of the grocery store on the weekends during the season.
