Yes, it’s that time of the year that I both welcome and dread – Girl Scout Cookie Time. I allowed myself one order of cookies and that’s it. Otherwise, they would have wound up around the house and in the car and everywhere anyway. Now that I’ve had mine, I can say I did that and move on.
Foods that I usually find myself weak to lose a lot of their appeal when I do that – I say ok I can have this limited quantity, so I’m not deprived. then I have it. Then it’s like why could I not get enough of these. Nat used to love samoas so I got him some, but he does not like them so much this year. That works for me because it means I don’t have to get any more under the guise of “Nat likes them”. Happy President’s
Birthday Consolidation Day!
I only ordered six boxes this year. I’m usually in the double digits but I’m paying closer attention to my junk food intake.
I was really surprised at how easy it was to just do it.
Thankfully, my sister’s goddaughter is our only Girl Scout. Two boxes of Thin Mints was all I got. My mother on the other hand ordered $42 worth of cookies.
They always find me. The little girls in the neighborhood always wind up in front of the grocery store on the weekends during the season.
