Today’s t-shirt is for the great state of Louisiana. There is something about that place, although it is very simple (trust me, what you see is what you get), it is very unforgettable. You can move anywhere in the world but you never get the smell of gumbo, jambalaya, etoufee, community coffee, the sound of the drum line, or, in my case, the stain of red dirt, out of your system. Whether you’re in the north or the south of the state you become a peculiar creature after you’ve spent an extended amount of time in its borders. It’s been almost fifteen years since I’ve left, and sometimes I’m still there. Hmmm.
