Thursday Randomness – Breast feeding baby dolls?

I think that encouraging nurturing is good and encouraging breastfeeding is good. However, you CAN start them too

early. This is one idea that I hope does not cross the pond. If it does, I’ll attribute it to the drug problem in this country. My daughter won’t be getting one. Yeesh.

And while we’re on the subject of babies, I think the lifelike (Reborn/pictured) babies are beautiful.  I can’t even begin to speculate how it feels to lose a baby, or want one and not be able to have one, so to each his own.  But no little

breastfeeders for my daughter.

Yeah. I think the concept behind it is well-meaning…but at six years, a little girl doesn’t have breasts, she doesn’t know about sex and she shouldn’t be breast feeding!

I just think that at some point during that production cycle, a real parent should have said, “This might not be the best idea.” Smh.

I love those real life looking baby dolls. I think we encourage little girls into motherhood too soon though. I loved my babies when I was little though.

I liked my baby dolls, too. My daughter likes dressing up more, so she has two little trunks of fancy princess dresses and jewels and one baby doll off in the corner somewhere. LOL. I think it’s more about letting them have that play time that helps them develop their imagination more than subliminally telling them to procreate. At least it is for me. 🙂
