I remember seeing it on the news with my then two-year-old son and thinking about what kind of kids he’d be attending school with. I remember feeling badly for the families who were trying to raise good kids and productive members of society – only to have to deal with this. I remember thinking that the cops were really soft on the person who bought the guns and the ammunition used to kill and maim all of those people. Mostly, though, I just remember feeling badly that all of the freedoms and opportunities that children have in this country would culminate in this.
It’s been ten years since Columbine.

I was in college, and was glad nothing like this happened while I was in high school. Of course college shootings started making the news after that. And after graduation, they started going postal in the workplace again…
Yep. Those college shootings started and then there were a few more exposed plots and stuff with high schools too. I won’t even start on the folks who decided to take this route at work.
