purtreebut it is SOOOO cold outside! Whew! It’s cold for mountain weather. It’s cold for valley weather. It’s cold period. This weekend I went to a really nice Christmas party and I also had the opportunity to go out for a date with my husband. We had a really nice time talking and enjoying each other’s company. It snowed a few times Sunday.

I was really surprised to read about our president ducking size 10s. I mean, a lot of people would have liked to, and maybe until that point dreamed of it (maybe still dream of it), but would not even risk their careers and health to do it. I did not laugh when I read that press secretary Dana M. Perino got hit in the eye with a microphone stand. Really. I did not. But dang, huh? It was like Geraldo/Jerry Springer over there, eh? Is the Daily Show on break?

    Ain’t no way that reporter shoulda got that second shoe in the air. The Secret Service is slipping. Much as I giggled when I first saw the clip, I’m disturbed by how it could have something more harmful than shoes. Even if he’s Bush, he’s still the president of my country. I wouldn’t want Cheney in his seat, even for this last month we have left. Can you imagine the pardons and chicanery that would ensue before January 20th?

    GIrl, dude was ACROSS THE ROOM. He had to cross the room to get to him, but he was by his side when he was ducking the second one? And they are going to protect him for the next ten years? He might want to get some backup on that. For real.
