What a moment, indeed. It wasn’t lost on me.
My son is walking around telling folks he wants to vote for Obama and they should vote for him too (did I mention that my mother told me and my siblings that if we didn’t vote for Obama she’d disown us? I’m surrounded by activists). He’s very interested in politics now. Before he learned about things in history and had occasional questions, but now it’s something he can identify with. At the ripe old age of eleven.
