Back to school preparations continue and culminate with a doctor visit for Al and Max on Thursday. Today is garbage day, so I’ll be gathering trash from all over the place until the truck pulls up. I believe in getting my money’s worth.
Since food and fuel prices are up, so are the prices of school lunches. Oh joy.
I’m pacing myself with how much of the Democratic Convention that I watch (because I’m REALLY REALLY getting sick of this whole election) but…
I think Michelle Obama did a good job last night although every time I see her I’m like, “I have to REALLY get more serious about my gym time and/or diet.” Her hair looked great too.
I was glad to see Ted Kennedy doing as well as he did for his speech. My aunt was diagnosed with a similar brain tumor and while she pursued a very aggressive course of treatment, things did not work out so well for her. I’m glad to see someone else pulling through, though.
I saw this sugar-free bakery on television and I thought it was really great because the women went into business because their husbands are diabetics. They use a product that has no known side effects and is even safe for those on dialysis to use. I love stories where people turn a negative into an asset to the community.
