Since I was a kid, my mom told each of us four kids that we were her favorite. It was kind of funny because we took a little secret pride in being the favorite, until we all found out that we were being told the same thing. I guess now that I have kids of my own I understand. All of my kids are my favorites too.
This morning, my sister called. And asked how I was doing. And I asked how she was doing. And she told me that my mom was having chest pains last night so she is in the hospital today. Then she gave me the number to the hospital. I spoke to mom for a little while before and after the doctors came to see her. Her EKG is normal so she is having other tests run. She’ll be in the hospital for Mother’s Day. I know that everything will be alright.
