Getting on with the business of real life.

Bills. kids. paperwork. scrapbooking. and stuff like that. I was talking to my husband yesterday and the next paid holiday he has is MEMORIAL DAY. Oh well. Monday marks little A’s first day in her new class and on the bus. Max wants to ride the bus too, but he has to wait a few years. I actually am making progress on the creative front. Now to get my desk cleared out. Again. Then it should be tax time. Tax time isn’t so bad around the house. We plan pretty well, but it’s just the sitting still and doing it. Yes, it’s on the computer, but still. LOL.

I don’t really make New Year’s resolutions, but I think I am going to continue in the direction of spiritual wisdom and maturity, not to mention really cracking down on my eating habits. I’m working out at home today, but I will be in the gym tomorrow. I’ll be glad to be back, but there is always a real rush this time of year. Everybody wants to run the Boston marathon. At least until Valentine’s Day.

There’s something about those first few days of a new year – after the bubbly is gone, and the celebration in the air floats away… Getting back on the grind just is what it is. And actually, depending on how you look at it, it doesn’t have to be a grind!

    Happy New Year!
