Monster in law

My father in law died in December, which means that my mother in law at some point probably in the near future is going to move in. She is going to be visiting with us for about six months starting in May. I wish she could be more like my mother. My mother is loved by all of her children in law. She’s really generous and helpful, but she doesnt sugarcoat stuff. My mother in law doesnt sugar coat stuff. And she’s mean. And petty. And just throwed the hell off in general. Trust me when I say THROWED. THE. HELL. OFF. 

I’ve tolerated her thus far because she is a couple of continents away. I really don’t relish this visit. Maybe she’ll try harder to be decent since she knows that my husband is some of the last family she has.  Something in me just wants to pack up and go home and stay down south for a few months eating catfish and drinking lemonade out of mason jars. LOL. I think I’ll use this blog as my rant space so that I don’t end up on CNN during or after this “visit”.
