I have had moments when I wondered if my daughter was developing, well, diva tendencies. The incidents of the past day or so have eliminated any doubt from my mind. I know that she is almost two, but do not, I repeat, do NOT mess with her routine. She likes to have her reading time and her play time and her meals set up just so. We went to do some schedule changing over at her brother’s school, and she was cool, but we made another stop on the way home and she was not having it. She made an effort to express very clearly that she did not appreciate the fact that her day was being messed with. Where was Pooh? Where was her snack? What was up with these, how do you say, errands? It was all about my daughter. Oh well. Something to remember for future reference.
I was having a discussion with my husband. I just shared that I didn’t understand the relevance of the topic because, well, I didn’t think it was important and he informed me that, despite what I think, the world is not centered around me. That it’s not all about me. Of course it is, dahling. Don’t be ridiculous. Hmph. *Flinging hair.* My daughter does the hmph thing, too. Hmmm…
She gets it from her mama.

What a gorgeous child! Wow, she is pretty much as I pictured her. Her hair is softer than I imagined but her facial features are the same. Funny!
