Today I officially joined the ranks of the minivan driving mothers. We had to get a vehicle that made room for the baby. We got a pretty good deal on a vehicle, though I would have liked to have haggled a little more. It took about two hours to get the paperwork and everything done because time had to be made for said haggling and test driving and all of that good stuff.
This baby was unexpected, so being in the minivan category is definitely unexpected. I thought I’d be driving SUVs and maybe a car or two until the kids went off to college. It has been a few years since we last bought a vehicle. I can’t believe that the stereo tells you what song is playing on the radio now. I know that is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it is a big deal to me. New baby. New minivan. Wow.
