The end of summer.

Today was Labor Day. I guess it marks the unofficial end of Summer. Tomorrow morning, all of the kids who catch the bus will be lined up at the end of the street. First the elementary kids, then the junior high kids and finally the high school kids. It’s really hard to believe that my oldest is going to be starting fourth grade this year. Two more years and he will be doing the junior high school thing.

All of this new school year stuff will be going on while I’m trying to get things started with the new baby. My mom has been a super tremendous help. I think I’ve said that before, but she has helped us so much, just being an extra pair of hands and ears and sharing her experiences with us.

So off with the lemonade and the sunglasses and the lawn chairs and now out with the pumpkins and apples and jackets soon to be coats. This summer was so hot and dry for the most part that I can say goodbye with a straight face.

Hard to believe is evaporated like that. Great imagery…off with the lawn chairs and lemonade and on the the jackets and pumkins…eeek, I’m not ready to pack away the summer gear and pull out the sweater and flannels.

Thanks, and I know how you feel about the flannels 🙂
