I know that fashion is cyclical, but MAN!!! I lived through the 80s. I’m not doing big hair again. I simply REFUSE. I must move forward and not backward.
Older moms vs. younger moms?
Okay, today I learned that younger moms and older moms think negative things about each other on a grand scale. I think I’m somewhere in the middle since I’m in my early 30s with this one, but observing this debate has helped me realize that I have a really low tolerance for insecure behind women. I mean, there wouldn’t be any debate or discussion if people made peace with their choices. When I was 24 having my first kid, sure there were things I didn’t know, but I tried to learn everything I could. I never thought, “boo/hiss/haterade” on moms that did things differently than me.
Back to school.
Yesterday I went to the Back to School social. It amazes me how many parents show up for the social. You have to park in the adjacent lot and walk amost a block to get in. I wish that parents were able to show up for stuff on this scale all year round. Usually I’m the show up parent for school things, but my husband filled in for me a week or so ago to pick up my oldest son’s schedule. It was different, being out at school after the baby.
