Another terrorist plot has been stopped. This time it was in England. It involved smuggling explosives onto the plane as beverages. So no beverages allowed on the plane, though the airline industry only will give a person a half can of soda and some questionable behind water. There is an exception for baby formula and prescription medicine. Lotions, shampoos, gels, liquid foundation, lip gloss, etc. has to be in checked luggage. Aarrgghh…
Back in the Summer of 2002, I rode the first of several flights with my kids who were then 2 and 5. I brought juice and beverage cups because there was no way I was going to deal with kids that young on a cross country flight with improper hydration. They made me drink from their cups at the security checkpoint. Now that this has happened, I am pretty much considering not flying anywhere (if I can help it) until the baby that I’m going to be having turns five.
It’s just too much of a pain in the butt. Flying costs too much. The service is laughable. It’s not the most kid friendly way to travel. I’ll just be leaving a few days early with a rental vehicle and staying in hotels along the way. It becomes more of an adventure anyway, LOL…
