Last night I was shaking. I thought I was dreaming or something. Turns out it was an earthquake. We thought it might be related to the local volcano. Yes, we have a local volcano. The epicenter was about ten miles from where we live. My husband woke me up after he had gathered up the babies. None of our stuff fell on the floor or anything and no one was hurt, so I am thankful. The first time I experienced a California earthquake, I was at home and had been married for a month or so. It’s funny how we are used to something like the ground shaking underneath us.

I used to sleep through them all the time. They were usually in the early morning hours. I would wake and my mom would say there was an earthquake. I would turn on the news and sure enough there was something small in the range of 3.0 to 5.0.

It’s something how you get to the point where you sleep through an earthquake, though. 🙂

I would freak if I felt the ground shake. That’s so deep to me. I can deal with hurricanes and floods but the earth moving is scary.

No big deal…felt like a big truck passed outside. A rumble never hurt nobody. Now a big one 7.0 or more is a huge deal.
