A lot of stuff has been going on in my life lately. I am going to be having another child. We are busy getting ready for all of that good stuff. My mom’s visit has really helped me to see that I really want to be closer to my family. Not next door, mind you, but in the same time zone. I’ve enjoyed my time in the West, don’t get me wrong, but I am definitely open to a relocation to certain parts of the South.
Mother-in-laws are like a box of chocolate.
My mom is a cool mother in law. She is the type who you can call up if you need help with your relationship, or if you need help with anything. Now my mother-in-law… Let’s just say our relationship has had some tempestuous moments. She surprised me last week, though, with a helpful email and stuff. Maybe people can change… Nah… LOL…
I see back to school sales…
It isn’t even August 1. Couldn’t these people have allowed me the peace and delusion that school won’t be starting around the corner? I’ve received all the clothing back to school catalogs and bulletins and stuff. Not to mention that the local stores are putting out those school bus and pencil shaped displays… I guess I have to suck it up and get ready for that too.
Fool me twice, shame on me
Yesterday morning, the baby tried to start a bath up in my tub. I heard water in my bathroom and promptly closed it up and got her out of there. I have a big tub so that wasn’t even cute. Later on that day, she observed that her granny was in the bathroom washing her hands. She ran into the bathroom. When my mother was finished, she tried to bring the baby with her. The baby put her weight on the door in an attempt to close it in granny’s face. All I could do was shake my head. That one learns quick.
