Wow. I guess the time has come for the heat wave to visit my neck of the woods. We have had such nice, cool weather. I’m going to be sad to see it go and temporarily be replaced with the stuff that is good for outdoor cooking (without a grill). Hee hee… I can’t put into words how much my mother has helped us these last few weeks. Sometimes she has had things to say that I didn’t quite want to hear, but I needed to hear them, so I sucked it up. LOL.
Did I misread something in the news?
Or did George Bush, after declining the invitation of the NAACP to speak at it’s national convention (EVEN Reagan accepted the invitation) for five years decide that he is going to take a few moments to speak to the organization after all? I expected to see this headline next to “Hell Freezes Over” and that’s all I have to say about that. Does this mean an acknowledgement that the republican party ain’t as white as some thought it was? Or the moving in a new direction of the NAACP under new leadership? Wow. Something to think about.
I have GOT to stop eating ice cream before I go to bed. My dreams are getting stranger and stranger.
