A few minutes ago, I dozed off and woke up because the baby was tapping her feet against me. I almost asked her and Al where their father was. Then I remembered that he is on the other side of the world. I spoke to him earlier this morning, his evening. They are having heavy rains. His father had a setback a couple of days ago when something he ate didn’t agree with him, but overall he is making progress with his medicine. He will be back next Friday.
My mom is coming to stay with us for a while during the Summer. I hope she enjoys herself. I think this is going to be her longest visit with us since we’ve been married. I have to get re-used to being around my mom. She says exactly what is on her mind. So does my husband so this is bound to get entertaining, if nothing else.
The kids are looking forward to time with Granny. We’ll have to go to the zoo and the mountains and all of that good stuff. Not too sure about what we’ll do for the 4th. I was invited to a good friend’s house for barbecue, but I might just chill out and do fireworks at home with the kids. We got good, powerful, illegal in bordering states fireworks, but I have a few fire extinguishers on hand just in case. Tee hee hee.
What a week.
