Yesterday was not my day. My Carol’s Daughter is almost completely gone, and I need my home pampering. I went to the craft store to get some stuff to make my husband a Father’s Day Card (I’ve been doing the card thing lately) and my youngest son ran out of the front door of the store across the parking lot to ToysRUs. He thought we were going in, but I don’t even play that rewarding bad behavior business. Then we got some really bad news. My husband’s father is not responding to medication, and they don’t think he is going to make it. My husband is making arrangements to go home and help his mother out. I’m staying home with the kids. I really think that they are too young to deal with this up close and personal.
Today I just took the day off from my normal stuff. I just need some Chinese food and some Lifetime Movie Network or something. My mom has offered to come and help me out for a little while, which means a sister has to clean up. Moms cannot be walkin in and my house ain’t on point. I wanted to paint the kitchen, but that is going to have to wait.
Even though I’m kinda bushed and feeling soggy, I’m thankful for another day of fresh air.
I wish I could help my husband to feel better, but I know that only comes with time.

I’m sorry to hear that. Whatever you do I’m sure he will appreciate you being there for him. That is so sweet of your mom. And don’t clean up too much…she’s going to need something to do while she is there ;-0

My mom is talking about bringing her sewing machine with her and making a seamstress out of me. It’s gonna be an eventful visit. LOL.
