Well, I had all kinds of stuff planned for posting today, but things started going weird with the site. Here are some bits and pieces I’ve come across, though.
Sotheby’s is attempting to auction a collection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s papers ranging from graduate school speech notes to his Nobel Peace Price acceptance speech, to early drafts of his “I have a dream” speech. The auction house has been attempting to sell the items to several institutions (apparently a sale was called off in 2003), but there has been extra incentive to get things together in the face of the death of Coretta Scott King. The papers are expected to go for a price in the neighborhood of $15-30 mill. >more
Just when you thought that it was all cool for guys to run around having kids until they are a hundred and fifty…. Seems that there is an increased chance of dwarfism, miscarriage and other genetic defects when older sperm get involved. I guess that women aren’t the only folk with a biological clock.
I might have to hook myself up with this new skinny cell phone from motorola.
