Humility

This afternoon, I had a doctor’s appointment. Or so I thought. I called to confirm the time of my appointment and I was informed that not only had my appointment been moved to Tuesday, but I had been left a message to that extent.
Now, I checked my caller ID and my answering machine and that was not the case. I spoke to my doctor’s assistant and she said that she left a message at my HOME. After which I kindly informed her that there was no message at my HOME. I couldn’t believe she had the nerve to say she called me if she didn’t. But n.e.ways. My husband had taken time off to sit with the kids cause there are three of them and the doctor’s office just isn’t a place that works for them. LOL.
So I try to schedule an appointment for next week, all the while maintaining that I did not get that message. After I hang up the phone, I check my cell phone, and there is the message. I have a nice serving of crow and apologize to my hubby and the doctor’s assistant. She still didn’t call my house, but she did leave the message. I’m sure all of this happened for a reason. Maybe I’ll explain it to my kids in a few years. You know, once I figure it out.

She didn’t call your house, though.

I know, but she did leave a message, and that was, in my eyes, worthy of the apology.
