I think that mothers should have a week. A month. Something. LOL… Not because I’m one, but it’s just that when I think of all the sacrifices and work my mother put in, a day does not suffice. My mother and I are both strong women who will let you know what we think for sure, so we definitely haven’t always seen eye to eye. Especially when I consider the fact that I have just a teeny bit of my father’s hard headedness. Sorry Dad. Love ya but truth hurts. She is the person I still call, some thirty years later, when some junk goes down in my life. Nowadays, it may take me a week or two to compose myself first. You know, keep up that front that I have it under control, but I always end up telling her exactly what happened. And it is always alright. She has always been the person who was in my corner when it really counted. She hasn’t always told me the answer that I wanted to hear, but she always had the answer that I needed to hear.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!!
