Monday morning whatever.

Mondays aren’t really my day, but this day is not so bad. This past weekend I entered my layout in the scrapbook competition, but I didn’t make the top three. I learned a lot that I can take with me to the next competition. I was so proud of myself simply for following through and completing a project that I was happy with. Now I get to tweak it and move forward. I also got a few toys at the scrapbooking convention, so it’s really on! I think I really like it because it is an opportunity to archive things that happen in my life and my family’s life in a way that says a lot more than a photo and a caption. Plus I think it’s a carryover from my newspaper days, the challenge of laying a page out in a new and vibrant way, yet in keeping with whatever the general theme of my book is.
Housewarming
My friend’s housewarming was really nice. Her party theme was a luau and she had it down to the leis and grass skirts. It was a lot of fun. Her new house is really nice, too. She has that whole pottery barn thing going on. I thought I was busy Spring cleaning, but I got a lot of ideas for the kids’ rooms. HomEdepot and LoWes here I come!
Maybe I’ll even finish decorating my living room without going in a new artistic direction or something. It is so hard to believe that March is over halfway over. The sun is actually shining today. I might even get some yardwork done, or at least clean out my flowerbed and make it happy for spring or something.
