Yesterday we took our Christmas photos. Today I took a look at the negatives and ordered the holiday postcards. They came out pretty well. The photo where I looked amazing was the one where my husband’s eyes were closed though. Figures. When we had finished our photo session, the photographer told me that we could do a reshoot if the photos don’t come out well. My kids were already working on my nerves during the course of the original photoshoot. My daughter decided she wanted to be a stuntwoman one hour before our appointment to take the photos. She was jumping off of chairs, running into tables and all kinds of mess. My youngest son was bouncing off the walls, and my oldest son wanted to wear his favorite sweatshirt for the photos. He told me that it looked better than the sweater I had chosen for him. Not to mention the fact that my husband needed a sweater that would blend in with the rest of our clothing. Sheesh. We got it together in time, though, and I have some nice photos to decorate our home and to temporarily stave off grandparents. I’m glad that we decided to go casual this year. I can’t imagine having to go through that photo session in an evening gown and jewels. We might do our photos at home next year, though. Maybe in front of the house or in the living room or something. We did that one year, and the photos were nice. I’m just glad it’s over. until next year.
