We’re getting ready for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow is the big marathon cooking ritual. I am really going to try to keep it simple. I wanted to try something new with the dressing, but I ran out of time. This morning, I woke up in the mood for barbecue ribs, but my oldest son REALLY looks forward to his turkey for Thanksgiving, so I nixed the rib idea. Maybe next year.
We have a lot to be thankful for. Our health and strength (and that of our loved ones), a house over our heads, friends and family who love us and all of the creature comforts we could ask for and then some. Our family has grown by one since last Thanksgiving. That’s always a good thing. If I don’t write before Thanksgiving, I hope that anyone who reads my words has a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
