Letting go.

Yesterday morning, in church, the pastor just gave one of those sermons that hit me right where I live. I mean, at a couple of points I looked up from my bible and it really seemed like he was talking about my life and stuff. I guess that goes to show how there really is nothing new under the sun.
In the last couple of days I have become keenly aware of stuff that I was doing (out of years of habit) that were not reflecting the kind of life I wanted to live. I even chastised somebody for the very same type of stuff and here I was doing it. Don’t you just hate that?
I took a long look at it. Why did that stuff even have a place in my life anymore? For no other reason than I had been doing it for years to deal with some of the pain residue from things that happened in my life quite a few years ago. So now, I am in the process of letting that go (which is weird that I’d be in that process because I had forgiven its sources years ago), and making room for new stuff in my life.
