I am a black belt shopper. When it comes to clothes, travel and household items, I get some serious discounts. However, some discounts are simply not worth it. This past week a couple of travel items crossed my desk that I had to pass on.
Travel item number one was a ten day Caribbean cruise for less than 200/person. Now, anybody who cruises KNOWS that a deal like that deserves a second look. Researched the boat, top notch, everything included, lots to do. Now let’s read the fine print. Okay the price is for double occupancy (when isn’t it?), but you have to travel BEFORE NOVEMBER 15. Hold up. *whips out my hurricane season calendar* Hurricane season ain’t over until the 30th of November. Now statistically speaking, most of the hurricanes are over by the 15th of November, but after this freakish storm season, I ain’t tryin to play Gilligan, ya heard? NEXT.
And onto the next travel deal. Cheap airfare. That sounds cool enough, and my folks are thousands of miles away, so I can ALWAYS benefit from an airfare discount. Delta tickets. Hold up. I gotta take a closer look at them cause they are in chapter 11, and TJ can’t be sitting on the plane when the pilot announces, “We’ll have to make the best of the situation, but we are a little short on fuel.” When you’re broke you cut corners. Then to top things off, I read an article that Delta is cancelling any flight that is not full. Delta is not about to play with my vacation and make my left eye twitch.

That cruise would have you all messed up on choppy waters, in a bunk bed, by the motor!
Ha! I guess we all got a hustle!
But the cruise lines should know better!

Yeah, like not having to sleep in a bunk bed directly over that place where they store the garbage… LOL…
