Christmas in September?

Two or three weeks ago, while I was doing my back to school shopping, I noticed the halloween costumes. It must have been September 3 or 4. You can’t slack on the halloween shopping anymore, huh? I mean, what happened to the good old days when you could get a costume during the first week of October?

October hasn’t even started yet, and the Christmas stuff is out. I saw this cute inflatable snowglobe and a snowman lava lamp and… Never mind. I haven’t even given thought to what I’m getting anyone for Christmas, much less all of the displays that are popping up. I’m at Costco every week (you know, Toys R Us for hubbies) and I’m thinking, am I just woefully unprepared here because I am not even trying to buy a snowman or a poinsettia or a nativity or gift wrap (although I saw some cute boxes) … whatever in October? Maybe I am. Back to my scrapbooking and other before the holidays projects.

I know this stuff is coming out sooner and sooner. It’s not just me. I know it’s not just me.

Its really annoying…just because they put it out 3 months ahead of time doesn’t mean I am going to buy it any earlier…after all once a chronic procrastinator always a C.P.

I’m glad that it’s not just me. I was walking around like, did I miss something last year or what?
