I recently revamped my programming setup on my television. I got rid of all 12 of my HBO channels, because while I like a lot of their original programming, I don’t want to watch Hidalgo every night.
Let me go off on a tangent for a minute… How many different ho-documentaries can you make? HBO has seen fit to tell us the heartbreaking stories of hoes from coast to coast and Hawaii. I guess they figured that to get a real in-depth look at the hardships of hoes, we should see their local issues? Look, I’m sorry that they are hoes, but a hoe is a hoe, regardless of area code.
Now, if I ever go for the world record for watching Hidalgo, or any of those other movies they’ve been showing since I was ten (Kazaam is playing tomorrow night, y’all. I ain’t lyin.), I know where to go, but till then I am at peace with my decision. I’m tired of seeing Lord of the Rings, too, so Stars might be next.

You ain’t never lied!!! I was thinking bout (pretty much convinced) dropping HBO and picking up Showtime so I can watch Barbershop. I missed the whole Soul Food craze so I thought I’d catch this one from the beginning.

LOL! T.W. kept calling trying to give away Starz channels and I turned them down. Most of these shows wind up on DVD at some point anyway so I just wait them out and watch them in one big chunk. Shoot, BET is running “Soul Food” and TBS is running “Sex in the City,” so they wind up in syndication on a free channel anyway sometimes.
