Any time I want to just chill out, I break out my Stevie Wonder box set. If I’m especially keyed up, I skip Livin for the City… Long story. Let’s just say I have a militant streak. I have been thinking about getting the Shalimar 12 ” Greatest Hits album… You know, original Soul Train line music. Get Ready. Tonight. Gonna make this a night to remember… Y’all remember those 12 inch singles? Young folk don’t know nothin bout no vinyl…Hee hee hee… Not to mention Kool and the Gang. Not that Celebration stuff… That was cute, but I’m talking about Jungle Boogie kinda music.
I had a really good friend in school who listened to nothing but oldies and gangsta rap. I think he saw Boyz in the Hood too many times, but I digress. Even back then, I couldn’t get with Cube, Snoop and nem, so I was and still am just chillin with Stevie.
