Bills! Bills! Bills!

I really don’t like bills. I mean, I like getting the services that bills pay for, and I understand that part of being a responsible adult is paying them, but yeesh, I really don’t like them. Today is bill day. The day I settle all of the accounts for the month and what not. I am thankful we the have money to pay these bills, but I am seriously considering downsizing some things. Like the satellite programming bill. I mean, I don’t think I’m gonna be paying for my ten or so channels of HBO much longer. You can watch Hidalgo, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter only so many times before you start to think, “They sure do show this movie a lot.”
I guess I am getting cheap as the years go by, and maybe I should be. They say that taking care of a kid costs $300,000 before college. That’s a big bill. Then there’s college. I figure they will be able to cover med school/law school/grad school on their own. Then there are the weddings and after that there will be grandkids. I guess kids never get out of your pocket. Which I guess is okay as long as they don’t think they’re coming back to my house.
