It has been almost thirty days since the shelter-in-place order was issued in Washington, but for about two weeks before that, life was slowly shutting down around the state. Businesses in Seattle and surrounding areas had begun strongly encouraging employees that could work from home to work from home and decision makers were looking at the possibility of canceling all kinds of events upon the reports of how easily the Corona virus could be spread in social situations. Now we are wearing masks whenever we leave the house and only leaving the house whenever necessary. And now the clouds are gray and water is everywhere and I know it will help everything look lovely next week, but, I’m not appreciating that right now. I’m not going to go protest at the state capitol with a few hundred of my closest friends, but I’m not appreciating it. At all.
