My mom used to sing to us when we were little, so I think that’s how it started. Both of my parents are music lovers. We listened to music at church (my parents were in the choir along with my aunts and uncles) and then we came home and listened to more music. My folks listened to a pretty wide variety of music – Gospel, Jazz, Pop, Funk, even the occasional Country and Rock. I listen to every genre of music I can get my hands on. If I like it, I like it. It has been interesting observing my children deciding on the kind of music that they like to listen to and always funny to me when they choose music that I enjoyed as a kid, despite me not playing it for them.
