I spent a LOT of this Summer listening to Avery Sunshine’s album, The SunRoom. I actually bought the physical CD so I could have the music and virtually everything I buy is MP3 these days. Her album was just that good. Avery Sunshine (born Denise White ) and her musical partner Dana Johnson create good, solid soul music that I can just put into a CD player and just listen to it and feel good. And not have to skip one song. I have to admit that I have been a huge fan of Ms. Sunshine since she came out with her debut single (ep), and first album, but The SunRoom was that much better. I can not wait to hear more from her in the future. (billboard)
The next time I find myself dealing with highway traffic or someone who wants to text at a red light, I will try to remember that it could definitely be worse. How DOES one navigate bison herd traffic in Yellowstone National Park? It’s an amazing sight to behold (the body heat of the herd is causing the mist that surrounds them, but it is not the best thing for anyone who needs to be anywhere else in a short amount of time. When my kids ask about the stupid stuff I did as a young person, the very most they are going to see is a photograph of a poor choice, and maybe have to trust anecdotal evidence from relatives, but those who are coming of age in the midst of social media – their children have the opportunity to read the stupidity blow by blow and if they are lucky/unlucky/depends on how you look at it, they may even see video footage. I have to say that I agree with this wholeheartedly and am ever so thankful to have come of age in a time before everybody was communicating everything digitally. (liannefarbes).
