Today my husband and I had lunch at Porta Terra, a Tuscan restaurant located in downtown Portland. He had the Spaghetti Pomodoro and I had fennel-crusted tuna with garlic potatoes, grilled broccoli and what had to have been one of the nicest sauces ever. I had been looking forward to this date for a while and it did not disappoint. The decor and ambiance were really nice (and warm – the winds were blowing strong and cold, typical for Autumn in the Northwest). After lunch, we strolled the Wednesday Farmer’s Market down the street and Farmer’s Markets around here are an awesome place buzzing with activity with fresh, vibrant produce and flowers. I saw dahlias in so many vivid colors that I could have just taken them all home with me. I think my date appreciates the fact that I did not.
Awwww how cute
