He had an automobile accident a couple of months ago and he had problems with his shoulder. I had that moment when my dad was no longer invincible when he was diagnosed with Cancer, but it’s never easy when one’s parents are ill. At least it’s not easy for me. I know it is going to be alright but I’ve been having the feeling for a while that I need to spend more time with my family in general and my parents in particular. In the late Fall, Winter or Early Spring, though, because Louisiana heat SUCKS (I know this is random, but if you’re reading this and you’re from Florida, your heat sucks too – You’re welcome).  And Louisiana humidity sucks even worse. The heat is simply uncivilized and the mosquitoes don’t help. It’s a major reason why I don’t live there now. Imagine the look I want to give people out here when they can’t handle 90 degree heat. I’ve been happy and relieved with weather that COOLED to 90 degrees. Of course if I need to go during the Summer, I’d do anything for my parents, but I just hope it doesn’t work out that way.
