I had a wonderful holiday, so I won’t complain about the hiccup or two I ran across in its aftermath. I have a lot to be thankful for and I really try to remember that as often as I can. Things are really ramping up around here with preparations for the holidays and just regular attempting to stay on top of challenges the kids face in their daily lives and challenges I face helping them to meet the challenges in their lives. Little A lost two of her front teeth, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped her from enjoying her favorite treat, fruit roll-ups and fruit by the foot. Max and Al got really nice haircuts (and Al is learning how to shave – I can’t believe that I have a son who has started shaving. Sigh.) Nat will probably get his haircut in the next week or so. He is really into fruit roll-ups these days, too. I have plenty to do, but it’s work that is good for me, so there’s nothing to do but get it done.
Glad you had a great holiday!
*sigh*
I looked at my younger son over the weekend and realized he has facial hair. Somehow, my image of him was still this 3 foot tall munchkin with the big grin. I realized he is a 6’2″ 250lb damn near grown man. It’s something about that aha moment that takes you back.
Glad you had a great holiday.
Thanks so much Adrienne and MzNewy!!! My son isn’t six two yet, but there have been a few moments where I looked at him and wondered where that kid who used to want me to read Winnie the Pooh went. Sigh.
