Would you rather have the first word, or the last in an argument? Some people prefer to speak first, others insist they have the advantage only if they get in the last word. Where do you stand?

I think that while I have been known to enjoy and engage in a good argument, lately I have been feeling like, “Have I been heard? Good. Have I been understood? Good. Is this what you were trying to say? Good. Let’s get on with life.” Maybe it’s just the number of things that I’ve undertaken, at this season of my life, but I do not have time or energy for a conversation where I have to employ gaming strategy.
